Basilica di San Giovanni in Laterano

San Clemente Basilica
A searing pot of archaeological marvels with 2000 years of history! The Basilica of San Clemente was constructed in the 12th-century on top of a 4th-century church, which in turn was built on top of a 1st-century pagan temple. Incredible, isn’t it?
